Featured Silver Steamroller Print Artist 2017 Southwest Print Fiesta!

I am honored to be one of five Southwest artists to be selected to carve an original linoleum tile measuring a daunting 3 foot square that will be printed in the middle of the street during the 2017 Southwest Print Fiesta in Silver City, New Mexico on September 2nd.  The prints will be printed using an actual steamroller and quality art papers. Only four prints will be made from each block. The fiesta continues September 1-3 with events, vendors and workshops. I’m looking forward to seeing Silver City and participating in this fascinating event!Special thanks to my high school art teacher, Mrs. Glakas, who was a printmaker by training. I’m grateful for the experience she gave me in this field. I will be making formal prints of my San Pascual linocut for this show.

Voted “Best Visual Artist” Albuquerque the Magazine

Thank you to everyone who cast a vote for me and selected me as “Best Visual Artist” for Albuquerque the Magazine’s 2016 Best of the City awards!  I never imagined such an honor would be bestowed upon me. The event was a blast and I am enjoying flashing my shiny badge around, like the Sheriff of Art. Especially honored to be included with beautiful Jade Leyva artist who is doing so much to activate the community with her seed art projects and more.
